Meet Sandi Rose Miller
Sandi Rose Miller's story begins in survival — and becomes one of relentless reinvention. From Miss Oregon and national Breck Girl to Feng Shui author, speaker, and coach, she has spent a lifetime helping women align their outer appearance with their inner truth. Today that work lives on in the Midlife Maverick podcast, where she proves it's never too late to start over.

A Life of Reinvention
Sandi trained at the Western School of Feng Shui, wrote The Art of Living: Feng Shui YOUR Way!, and built a thriving speaking and coaching practice around it — all while pursuing a Master's in Spiritual Psychology and deepening her growth through Landmark Worldwide, Peak Potentials, and Insight Seminars. For more than 40 years, she's practiced yoga and taught classes for corporations, schools, and a national fitness chain, while feeding a restless travel streak as a certified tour director across Europe, Canada, and the U.S., and later working as a flight attendant for two national carriers.
Before all of that, she built a genuine career in front of the camera — television, film, modeling, jingle singing, and narration — culminating in 1995 when she won a national contest to become a Breck Girl, joining a lineage that includes Brooke Shields, Kim Basinger, Christie Brinkley, and Jaclyn Smith. It began even earlier, with a childhood shadowed by an abusive stepfather that she escaped by retreating into an imagined world — teaching herself to sew and sing, and carrying that early tenacity through local and state pageants all the way to Miss Oregon 1972, a Miss America finalist finish, an individual Talent Award, and a spot in the elite Miss America USO.
Finding Her Signature Work
Eventually, she wove all of it together: her Feng Shui training, her eye for image, and her lifelong drive to help women bloom into a signature method for aligning outer appearance with inner truth. That work became True You Makeovers, then "The Color Thing," and today lives on in the Midlife Maverick with Sandi Rose Miller℠ podcast platform.
From Victim to Victorious
Now in her 70s, having weathered traumatic injury, divorce, bankruptcy, and near-homelessness along the way, Sandi has moved from victim to victorious. She's living her best years yet with her husband, Nick, in their cozy home in the high Mojave Desert — proof that it's never too late to start over.Recent Episodes
